Then, join a group called “The Library” for all your college needs :-)
You can join other groups on the site as well.
The torrent that has 11GB (over 2000 books) is called:
“The Library Project - [COMPLETE] - (Over 200o books with metadata and covers)”
It’s a good starter for your eLibrary. If you have a slow internet connection it’s broken up into 4 parts as well. They’re labeled, so you’ll see which ones.
The library program that organizes the books neatly once you download them is called “Calibre”:
http://calibre-ebook.com/download
Once you download it you can click the “Add Books” in the program and select the folder that the books are in. You might only be able to load a few at the time and it is a computer resource hog so try not to run too many programs on your computer while it’s loading the books in. I did 60-100 books MAX at a time and it went pretty smoothly.
Also, we all use “utorrent”, I don’t know what bittorrent client you use but utorrent works universally so we chose to use it for those in other countries that have slow or shaky connections:
In our experience, no other bittorrent client is better.
You can protect yourself from your Internet Service Provider (or even possibly your campus) from “throttling” your connection or seeing what you’re doing by downloading this:
http://peerblock.googlecode.com/files/PeerBlock-Setup_v1.0.0.r181.exe
It blocks outside connections that have malware or are from the government/school that might be tapping your IP.
After this, stop by next time for the other wonderful places we have in store for you raped and robbed citizens of these Corporate Colonies Formerly Known As “The United States of America”.
